Hello there! So many beautiful weddings to share with you but equally, so many stunning inspiration shoots! I just wanted to give you a sneak peek at another project I worked on last year now with an awesome team - a bright and bold shoot featuring geometric elements, metallic touches and lush florals. I had worked with Dominic, of Dominic Whiten Photography on the wedding of Emma and Luke a few years back so knew we were in safe hands.
The shoot featured couture dresses, a bespoke cake dresser, a beautiful drinks cart and table scape with gorgeous British grown flowers. We wanted to inspire couples to work with their surroundings and incorporate the venue colours within their design to make sure everything really works together. We had the pleasure of working within the beautiful moated manor house, Ringshall Grange in Suffolk. Primarily used for private hire, this fabulous house also has ample space for a marquee and gorgeous woodlands making it the perfect spot for a woodland wedding as well.
The room we were shooting in was a really bold colour so we embraced this and used complimentary colours in the details and design. We included metallic and geometric elements to bring a more modern vibe to the dark wood surroundings. The suspended floral hoop was a great centrepiece to the table along with the British flowers in urns by Moss & Stone and geometric candle holders.
We also bought in geometric menus and place cards by Dimitria Jordan, to add to the place settings along with the coloured water glasses by Couvert and glittered champagne flutes. These small details are really easy to implement, not as expensive as you may think and take your place setting to the next level. We also used gold cutlery and purple chargers to bring a little more glamour to the design and then used a table runner and napkins that matched the colour of the room. We used a gathered runner to soften the feel of the table. This can all easily be recreated for a real wedding by selecting elements such as the bespoke shaped menus and coloured glasses to really lift the whole design.
We also included a cake dresser with a glorious 4 tier cake in varying designs by Mon Annie Cakes. This was accompanied by some mini cakes and cookies which not only looked stunning but tasted delicious.
Our model, Katie, showed off two of Clariscia Gill’s gorgeous bespoke dresses which both had such elegant necklines and back details. Aria from Aridal Make up & Hair styled Katie’s hair beautifully in a half up style which kept her gorgeous curls loose and flowing.
Katie’s bouquet, designed by Moss & Stone, consisted of mainly British flowers and was a stunning collection of pinks and purples, beautifully complemented by the silk ribbons by Silk & Purl.
We incorporated inspiration for many of the elements of a wedding day such as a suspended table plan on hand dyed silks, a cocktail cart, places for the couple’s cards and some jewellery shots all of which can easily be replicated in a real wedding with ease.
