JO & ANDY - A WEDDING IN THE SNOW!

Hi all,

Today I wanted to share with you some photos of a very cold, very fabulous wedding that took place a while ago now.

I was lucky enough to work with Jo and Andy on the preparations for their day which took place at Field Place, in Worthing.

Jo was unbelievably organised when it came to the preparations for their day so our meetings generally consisted of me asking lots of questions and pointing her and Andy in the right direction.

They had a lot of DIY aspects to their day, which made it even more personal and unique. They (I use the term ‘they’ quite loosely, I think one of them may have had more to do with it than the other) made all of the table centres, the cake (!), the favours and all the stationery.

Jo and Andy have MANY wonderfully talented friends who they called upon to help with their day. Their wonderful photographer, Chris of 4lifephotography, is a friend of theirs from uni; their videographer, Joe of Bug Splat Films, was a friend; the band were friends from work; even the amazingly wonderful paper flowers that were used for the bridesmaids bouquets and table centres were made by a friend. The list seemed never ending! What lucky people they are!

They also asked guests to contribute to a fabulous dessert table which allowed the guests the opportunity to show off their wonderful creations as well!

Your Wedding, Your Way provided the sweet/candy buffet, which went down very well with the guests! You can never have to many sweet treats!

They also decided to steer away from ‘traditional’ white/ivory chair covers and hired the most amazing floral covers from Doris Loves. They added so much extra colour and really went well with the overall feel of the day.

Jo looked absolutely beautiful in her vintage tea length dress from Fur Coat No Knickers, teemed with some to die for Louboutins and a stunning button bouquet from the lovely Emma of Beau Buttons.

We did have some scary moments, mainly the night before when we realised that there was no way the snow was going to clear in time for the big day and some of the suppliers might have had issues getting there but everyone was amazing and it all came together beautifully! Jo and Andy even managed to get down to the seafront for some stunning couples shots by the sea.
